Pedestrian Accident Claims The Life Of 83-Year-Old Maryland Woman

Earlier this month, such an accident took place in Dundalk in the area of Dundalk Avenue and Baltimore Avenue at 5:00 p.m. Baltimore County Police continue to investigate the cause of the pedestrian accident, which killed an 83-year-old woman.

It has been reported that the victim was crossing Dundalk Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle heading north. The woman was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital. She was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not said whether charges will be filed against the driver of the car. According to the news source, the driver stayed at the scene of the fatal accident.

Although there has been no word about criminal charges, it is vital that all the facts and circumstances surrounding the accident be gathered and thoroughly analyzed. Accidents such as this typically result from negligence or recklessness. If it is found that the driver was negligent or reckless or that the safety conditions in the area were deficient, the family of the deceased woman may want to consider pursing a civil suit for wrongful death.

Although nothing can bring the woman back to her family, they deserve a full and fair inquiry into the events that led up to her death, as well as compensation if it is determined that negligence caused or contributed to the accident.
