“‘Justice delayed is justice denied.’ – Not my quote, but words that guide my legal practice.”

Joseph “Joe” Yahr joined SBWD Law in 2018, and has practiced workers’ compensation and personal injury law since 2009. Joe has handled many hundreds of cases before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission, and over fifty jury trials in the Circuit Courts throughout Maryland. He has also successfully briefed and argued cases at the appellate level before the Maryland Appellate Courts. Joe takes great pride talking to his clients about what they want and working with them to achieve their goals. Over years of practice, Joe has developed a reputation for fighting for his clients until they get the justice they deserve.

Prior to practicing law, Joe received his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland, College Park. He subsequently graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia. As a law student, Joe won a Moot Court award for “Best Negotiator,” and was a member of the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse, a clinic providing trial support in all of Virginia’s death penalty cases. His extensive experience and natural skills assist him in obtaining the best possible result for his clients, who often have sustained serious injuries in the workplace.
